Knowledgeable, detail-oriented, and intellectual leader are just a few words most often used to describe Sam Katz. With over three decades of experience in the fast-paced trust and banking industry, Sam has established himself as an innovative financial professional. He is currently a Financial Services Professional with Coastal Wealth, a MassMutual firm.
In his current role with Coastal Wealth, Sam has consistently found success through his effective communication skills and the unique ability to navigate the details. He has earned the trust and admiration of his clients and peers alike.
After personally being involved in a long-term care crisis, Sam learned how important it is to protect yourself and your loved ones with whole life insurance. He began a career in trust and banking working with Northern Trust for 27 years, working tirelessly to produce exceptional results. Sam also worked for Fifth Third Bank for three years with promotions to Vice President and Senior Trust Officer.
He was born in New Jersey and moved to Florida when he was nine years old. Sam attended the University of Florida and graduated from Florida International University with a master’s degree in Finance. Sam enjoys regular Peloton bikes rides, having been a competitive bycicle rider for many years. He regularly volunteers with Aventura Turnberry Jewish Center in various leadership roles with the Men’s Club & the Temple Board of Advisors.
Sam lives in the Aventura area with his wife, Meryll, having raised two grown daughters that each work for Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines. As Sam often jokes with friends & colleagues, “now his daughters take them on trips”.
