What kind of long-term opportunity is there?
At Coastal, you’re not just building a book, you’re building a business. From building value and succession planning to scaling with support, our model is designed to help you create something sustainable, valuable, and sellable over time.
Do I need to move all at once?
Not necessarily. We’ve helped many advisors phase their transition, starting with a portion of their book or team. We’ll work with you to create a transition plan that protects your relationships and fits your timeline.
Is this a W-2 or independent contractor model?
Advisors are independent contractors with W2 status marked as Interdependent Contractor
Will I be pressured to move firms after the call?
Not at all. The call is a conversation, not a pitch. We’ll walk you through the model and you decide if it’s worth exploring further.
How does the transition process work?
We have a dedicated team to handle onboarding, compliance, and client communications. Most advisors are fully transitioned in 60–90 days.
Can I keep my own brand and name?
Yes. You can operate under your own brand, co-brand with Coastal, or lean into our platform. We support whatever builds your business best.
