Jeremy Straub, CRPC, CFS® is the Founder and CEO of Coastal Wealth.
With more than 20 years in executive level positions with fortune 500 companies, Jeremy is considered a financial industry thought leader who brings energy and passion to helping people preserve wealth. Jeremy couldn’t ignore his inherent entrepreneurial spirit and desire to create a financial services and wealth management firm of his own and in 2016 Coastal Wealth was created.
Through Coastal Wealth, Jeremy created a firm with a family feel – where financial professionals are treated like clients, and clients have experienced professionals at their fingertips to address most aspects of their financial lives. This is at the core of what Coastal Wealth was built on and every day work is put in, to continue to learn, adapt and grow across all areas of life. This shows evident in the firm’s mission: to navigate opportunities and redefine what is possible.
Over the past 4 years, Jeremy has grown Coastal Wealth into the largest firm in Southeast Region and leads a team of more than 400 financial professionals, agents and support staff with over 28 offices across Florida and Georgia. Coastal Wealth focuses on financial planning, protection planning, and group/executive benefits. The key values Straub upholds within Coastal Wealth that shape the decisions, the direction, and the team are anchored in Integrity, Diversity, Innovation, Collaboration, and Responsibility. Today, Coastal Wealth services over 100,000 clients[1] with over $20 billion of life insurance in force[2] and $12 billion in assets serviced.
Originally from Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, Jeremy’s entrepreneurial nature was influenced by his father, who worked his way up in the auto industry from selling cars to owning dealerships. Jeremy’s top personal goal is to have a positive impact on his family, employees and community. He loves that his role at Coastal Wealth allows him to balance the “mind of a capitalist and heart of a social worker,” by helping clients reach their financial goals while living his personal dream as an entrepreneur.
Jeremy graduated from Moravian College in Bethlehem, PA with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Finance and Political Science. Jeremy is a Chartered Retirement Planning Consultant (CRPC®) designee, which helped him discover his passion for helping people prepare for the accumulation and distribution phases of retirement. He is also a Certified Funds Specialist® (CFS) designee. Jeremy holds a Series 7, 9, 63, 66 and 24 registrations with FINRA, and is a registered principal with MML Investors Services, LLC.
Jeremy is on the board for YPO of Palm Beach and host of a podcast where he speaks with business owners and entrepreneurs. Jeremy lives in Fort Lauderdale and enjoys spending time with his two young children, daughter, Kayla, and son, Kai, as well as traveling, archery, boating and snowboarding.

What inspired you to start Coastal Wealth?
I saw a gap in the industry, firms that talked about being client-first but treated advisors like numbers. I wanted to create a place where both clients and professionals could build lasting legacies.
What keeps you motivated as a leader?
My team and my kids. I wake up every day wanting to create more opportunities, for the people I work with and for the future my kids will grow up in.
What’s one piece of advice you give new advisors?
Build a business with depth. Don’t just sell products, create impact. And think long-term from day one.
