With over three decades of leadership in the financial services industry, Harris S. Fishman has earned a national reputation for driving growth, fostering innovation, and championing a values-based culture.
His journey began in 1989 with MassMutual, where he quickly rose through the ranks, from Sales Manager to General Agent, ultimately transforming MassMutual Greater Philadelphia (MMGP) into one of the company’s premier agencies. Under his leadership, MMGP grew from 40 to over 175 financial professionals and expanded its reach to more than 100 offices across Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, and Texas.
Today, Harris serves as General Agent Emeritus of MMGP and Chairman of Coastal Wealth. In his role at Coastal Wealth, he leads strategic direction, growth initiatives, and firmwide investments to better serve over 105,000 clients, with $32 billion in life insurance in force and $7 billion in client policies and accounts under management.
Harris’s commitment to building a culture of excellence and purpose has earned Coastal Wealth numerous accolades. Under his leadership, the firm has been named one of the Best Places to Work in South Florida, included on the First Coast's Largest Private Companies list, recognized as a Top Wealth Advisory Practice, and honored as a Companies with Heart recipient for its deep commitment to community service and corporate philanthropy.
As a passionate advocate for social impact, Harris spearheaded the creation of the Coastal Wealth Community Impact Foundation, which supports initiatives like the annual Feeding America Volunteer Day, sponsorship of the Walk to End Alzheimer’s, and financial literacy efforts nationwide. He is especially dedicated to serving families with special needs, working to ensure equitable access to essential resources and government benefits.
An accomplished speaker and thought leader, Harris frequently addresses industry groups on topics such as leadership, company culture, and community engagement. He is a recipient of MassMutual’s Crystal Achievement Award every year from 2003 to 2024 and has earned multiple Chairman’s Trophies. He was also recognized as a Top CEO and Corporate Philanthropy Leader.
Harris holds a Bachelor of Science in Finance from the University of Delaware and completed the Executive Leadership Program at the Darden School of Business. He is a Chartered Life Underwriter® (CLU) and Chartered Financial Consultant® (ChFC). He holds Series 7, 6, 65, 63, and 24 registrations with FINRA and is a registered principal with MML Investors Services, LLC. In 2013, he served as President of MassMutual’s General Agents Association.
He and his wife, Ellen, split their time between Pennsylvania and Florida. They are the proud parents of two daughters, Rachel and Emily.
