With over three decades of leadership in the financialservices industry, Harris S. Fishman has earned a national reputation fordriving growth, fostering innovation, and championing a values-based culture.His journey began in 1989 with MassMutual, where he quickly rose through theranks—from Sales Manager to General Agent—ultimately transforming MassMutualGreater Philadelphia (MMGP) into one of the company’s premier agencies. Underhis leadership, MMGP grew from 40 to over 175 financial professionals andexpanded its reach to more than 100 offices across Florida, Georgia, SouthCarolina, and Texas.
Today, Harris serves as General Agent Emeritus of MMGP andChairman of Coastal Wealth, one of the largest financial services firms in thecountry. In his role at Coastal Wealth, he leads strategic direction, growthinitiatives, and firmwide investments to better serve over 105,000 clients,with $32 billion in life insurance in force and $7 billion in client policiesand accounts under management.
Harris’s commitment to building a culture of excellence andpurpose has earned Coastal Wealth numerous accolades. Under his leadership, thefirm has been named one of the Best Places to Work in South Florida, includedon the First Coast's Largest Private Companies list, recognized as a Top WealthAdvisory Practice, and honored as a Companies with Heart recipient for its deepcommitment to community service and corporate philanthropy.
As a passionate advocate for social impact, Harrisspearheaded the creation of the Coastal Wealth Community Impact Foundation,which supports initiatives like the annual Feeding America Volunteer Day,sponsorship of the Walk to End Alzheimer’s, and financial literacy effortsnationwide. He is especially dedicated to serving families with special needs,working to ensure equitable access to essential resources and governmentbenefits.
An accomplished speaker and thought leader, Harrisfrequently addresses industry groups on topics such as leadership, companyculture, and community engagement. He is a recipient of MassMutual’s CrystalAchievement Award every year from 2003 to 2024 and has earned multipleChairman’s Trophies. He was also recognized as a Top CEO and CorporatePhilanthropy Leader.
Harris holds a Bachelor of Science in Finance from theUniversity of Delaware and completed the Executive Leadership Program at theDarden School of Business. He is a Chartered Life Underwriter® (CLU) andChartered Financial Consultant® (ChFC). He holds Series 7, 6, 65, 63, and 24registrations with FINRA and is a registered principal with MML InvestorsServices, LLC. In 2013, he served as President of MassMutual’s General AgentsAssociation.
He and his wife, Ellen, split their time betweenPennsylvania and Florida. They are the proud parents of two daughters, Racheland Emily.
